Direct Torque Control Based on a Fast Modeling Method for a Segmented-Rotor Switched Reluctance Motor in HEV Application

This article proposes a fast-nonlinear modeling method for the direct torque control (DTC) of segmented-rotor switched reluctance motor (SSRM), excluding rotor clamping device. First, torque-balanced is used to measure flux-linkage values at five crucial positions. The profile SSRM represented by fourth-order Fourier series based on measured values. Then, Kriging model employed further describe flux linkage and characteristics series. A combination can greatly incorporate their merits improve accuracy models. Compared with conventional methods, finite-element analysis data are not required process in proposed method. Finally, simulations experiments DTC current chopping (CCC) methods carried out. amplitude under be well controlled, while that CCC increased enlargement load torque. mode, reduces ripple exhibits better speed response, per ampere mode higher.
